Georgia became the fourth state in 1788 and one the the original thirteen
colonies. The northern part of Georgia is part of the beautiful Appalachians mountain
range where you can hunt, fish, camp, and many other enjoyable activities. The climate is
considered humid subtropical, which is not uncommon for the south eastern part of the United States.
Tornadoes are common as well as hurricanes as with Florida. Georgia, lately, is growing fast and
more than half live in the Atlanta metro area.
